Nestled within the serene embrace of the Pokljuka forests, my recent stay at this charming hotel offered a unique blend of modern comfort and rustic charm that made it a worthwhile stop on the Juliana Trail. After a challenging hike through the rain, we arrived late but were welcomed by the dedicated staff who served us a warm meal—a hearty barley soup and fresh salad—just before the kitchen closed. The spacious room featured a lovely balcony with sweeping views of the surrounding peaks, including Viševnik and Mali Draški, perfect for soaking in the tranquility of nature. The hotel’s design, characterized by light wood and Scandinavian elements, ensured a cozy atmosphere. Breakfast offerings, while delayed due to our early start, were thoughtfully packed as a takeaway. Dining options included a menu of local dishes that complemented the surrounding landscape. This hotel is an excellent choice for those seeking a restful retreat amid stunning mountainous vistas and a touch of local hospitality.
